Just Dance

No asian wedding festivity is complete without dancing- and alot of it!

Dancing during mendhi and sangeet nights has always been traditional , and im sure many of us have fond memories dancing at friends or relatives weddings. Since the 90s, bollywood style dance routines have replaced the traditional dholkis,  and now one of the main events during mendhis, sangeets, and engagements- not forgetting wedding receptions. These well-rehearsed routines have led to dance-offs between the bride and grooms families. In this honour, i have scouted two particular weddings, where it is obvious ALOT of effort has gone into the mendhi dance preparations, and its certainly paid off!

This is a mendhi dance routine performed by friends and family of Fariha and Malik- its pretty long, and for this reason split into 3 parts- enjoy!

If that wasnt enough inspiration, have a look at the dance trio who performed at Sam and Hassan's mendhi..
